Gorey and Cole Drillers Pty Ltd were established in Alice Springs in 1946, it’s founders being A.J. Gorey (Ginty) and J.P Cole (Sandy). Having been in operation for over 60 years, you would appreciate our company has gained a wealth of valuable experienceand knowledge in the drilling industry and is regarded throughout the industry as oneof the longest serving and leading drilling companies in Australia.

Our company’s main objectives are to conduct all drilling programs professionally and efficiently with minimum stand down time as possible with safety being of paramount importance.

One of our policies is to continually endeavour to upgrade our equipment with the main focus being on improving safety.

We have a range of drilling rigs available capable of carrying out a variety of tasks from RAB and Geotechnical programs to RC and Diamond Core drilling through to large diameter and deep hole Production/dewatering bores and conducting test pumping programs including mine backfill drilling.

Gorey and Cole’s head office is based in Alice Springs. In July 2004 Gorey & Cole took over the operations of Stanley Drilling Company based in Perth. This expanded our Drill Rig capacity to 10 drillings rigs.

Stanley Drilling Company was founded in 1971 and has been operational for 35 years, with their head office based in Perth. Stanley’s drilling contracts over the years have led them to conduct drilling programs throughout Australia and overseas. Stanley’s mainstream of drilling revolves around specialised mineral exploration drilling contracts with the extra advantage being the ability to conduct water drilling programs with its modern fleet of multipurpose drilling rigs.

Our company currently employs approximately 52 staff with Drillers licenced to drill and construct water bores in the Northern Territory, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia. The current Owner/Director Vivian Oldfield and Manager Craig Oldfield have been employed by Gorey & Cole Drillers for over 30 years.
